Hair Loss Treatments
Strip Donor Treatment
The surgeon will remove a narrow strip of thickly haired
skin from the donor area at the back of the head. The area,
where the strip has been removed, is finely stitched using a
method that leaves a small scar that is easily covered by
the overlaying hair. It is therefore no longer visible, even
if you have close-cropped hair. Your scalp may feel a little
tense or tight but this sensation will soon pass.
After this there will be a short break of 1/2 to 1 hour.
While you relax, watch TV, read or have a little bite to
eat, the medical team of up to eight nurses, divide the
strip of donor hair, quickly and methodically, into
minuscule single® graft (follicle with 1 hair), double®
graft (follicle with 2 hairs) and triple grafts® (follicle
with three hairs).

Donor Area Before After the break you return to the treatment room. Once you
are relaxed, the surgeon will continue with the treatment.
With a specially developed tool he will make minuscule
channels in which the new hair follicles will be placed.
The extraordinary precision of this instrument enables the
surgeon to re-distribute the new hairs in an aesthetic and
natural way, and with such accuracy that they are
undetectable to the naked eye.
This technique also has a favourable influence on the
healing process.
The treatment is complete when all the grafts are in place,
which can take between 5 to 8 hours.
2/3 weeks post treatment; the stitches have to be removed
from the back of the head. This will be done locally or in
your home (if you prefer) by one of our qualified nurses.
